In my second year at University I finished reading Les Misérables, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. In this project I took scenes from the second chapter of volume one and reimagined them as pages from a graphic novel.

I the story, this is where Jean Valjean enters Digne and is refused kindness wherever he goes because of his reputation as a recently released ‘violent criminal.’ That is until he meets the Bishop of Digne, Bienvenu Myriel.
